If you’re dropping more than half a million dollars on an Italian supercar, don’t you want every detail to be exactly to your preference, down to the last stitch? Lots of high-end customers order their cars this way, and Lamborghini can now do it all online for those who don’t want to travel all the way to Italy. To promote its new virtual Ad Personam studio, Lamborghini is releasing a special-edition version of the Aventador SVJ called the Xago, and only ten will be made.
The Aventador SVJ (Superveloce Jota) is already pretty special, and the Xago edition makes it even more in-your-face with customer-specific contrasting accents (pictured here in blue), Xago-edition-specific wheels, and hexagon patterns inspired by cloud shapes from Saturn—yes, as in the planet. The hexagons, which are prevalent in Lamborghini’s design language (just look at the new hybrid Sián) run up the front fenders, are pasted on the side, and then finish at the rear fenders.
Hexagons are found inside the special edition cars, too. The seats have the a pattern along with the matching exterior contrast color, which the customer chooses to their liking. If you forget which color you chose, you’ll be able to tell your car apart from the other nine Xago editions by special numbered plaques. Phew.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ still holds the production car lap record at the Nürburgring, and it’s powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 that sends 759 horsepower to all four wheels—that’s 29 more ponies that the standard Aventador’s V-12. Lamborghini claims it’ll do 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and reach 217 mph.
All that comes at a hefty price, though, as the SVJ starts at $ 521,265. We can expect that these special-edition cars will go for well over that price. If one of these ten cars isn’t exclusive enough for you, Lamborghini is taking appointments, starting this month, for its virtual Ad Personam studio. Get customizing.
